1. Service description

MachineKept is a facility and equipment management platform for tracking inventory, preventive maintenance, work orders, parts, and vendor relationships. Features vary by subscription plan (Starter, Growth, Premium).

2. Account responsibilities

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• The Starter plan is free with feature limitations.
• Growth and Premium plans are available as auto-renewing subscriptions via Apple In-App Purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
• We do not issue refunds for partial subscription periods; refund requests are handled by Apple.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the app.
• Use the app to store or transmit malicious code.

5. Intellectual property

MachineKept and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MachineKept and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours — we claim no ownership over content you enter.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Maintenance schedules and AI recommendations are informational only; you remain responsible for actual maintenance decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MachineKept shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amounts you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. We will provide notice via the app for material changes. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
