Common questions
I can't sign in
Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen — it sends a reset email from Firebase, which sometimes lands in spam. If the address itself is wrong, email support and we will look it up.
My equipment is missing
Almost always a location or status filter still applied from a previous session. Clear the filters at the top of the Inventory tab. If it is genuinely gone, email us before adding it again — deleted records can sometimes be recovered, duplicates cannot be merged.
I'm not getting notifications
Check iOS Settings → MachineKept → Notifications, then Settings → Notifications inside the app, which controls what you receive separately. Both have to be on.
I signed up but can't add anything
You are a viewer with no organization. Create one from onboarding and you become its admin automatically. If you created one and are still stuck, email us — that is a bug we know how to fix, and it takes us about a minute.
How do I cancel a subscription?
iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MachineKept. Billing runs through Apple, so we cannot cancel or refund on your behalf. Your data stays and the account drops to the free Starter plan.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete Account, in the app. It removes your account and data rather than deactivating it, and it is not reversible.
The AI Advisor isn't there
It needs the Premium plan, an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, and iOS 26 or later. It runs entirely on your device, which is why the hardware requirement is strict. Everything else works regardless.
Other ways in
The dashboard works in any browser, so you can get at your equipment records without the app.
