What's in each plan
Two things worth being precise about
Both appear on the Premium plan, and both are easy to oversell.
The AI advisor is iPhone-only
It answers questions about your own fleet — what's overdue, what's costing the most, what to service next — and it runs on your device using Apple's on-device models, so your maintenance records are not sent to a third-party model provider.
It needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence. There is no web version, and buying Premium for the web dashboard alone will not get you this.
Risk signals are rules, not predictions
They read your data and surface what is critical or offline now, what maintenance is overdue, which assets generate repeat repairs, and how much of your work was planned rather than reactive.
There is no machine learning and no failure prediction. Other products in this category claim it; we would rather tell you what this actually does, because you will find out either way.
Questions
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Paid plans are monthly and billed through the App Store, so you cancel from your Apple subscription settings and keep access until the period ends. The free Starter plan never expires.
Do you charge per technician?
No. Plans include a number of team members — 3 on Starter, 15 on Growth, unlimited on Premium — and the price does not change with how many of them are technicians.
Can I import my existing equipment?
There is no bulk CSV import yet. Onboarding offers starter equipment lists for your industry that you edit, which covers most single-site setups in about twenty minutes. For a large estate, email first and we will work out the fastest route.
Can technicians use their phones?
Yes, and that is the intended way to use it. The iPhone app and the web dashboard both work on a phone, and scanning a QR code opens equipment directly.
Can I print QR codes?
Yes, on an ordinary printer. No special label stock, no scanner hardware, no per-tag cost.
Can MachineKept support multiple locations?
Growth covers 5 locations and Premium removes the limit. Every asset carries a location, and the dashboard can be filtered by it.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, at any time, and your data comes with you — upgrading changes limits and features, not your records.
What is the AI maintenance advisor?
An assistant in the iPhone app that answers questions about your own fleet — what is overdue, what is costing the most, what to service next — using your maintenance data. It runs on-device using Apple's FoundationModels, so your records are not sent to a third-party model provider. It is iPhone-only and requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence. There is no web equivalent yet.
What are equipment risk signals?
Plain rules over your own data: how many assets are currently critical or offline, what maintenance is overdue, which equipment generates repeated repairs, and the share of your logged work that was planned rather than reactive. It is not machine learning and does not predict failures. We would rather describe it accurately than sell it as something it is not.
Is there a free trial of the paid plans?
The Starter plan is free permanently rather than for a trial period, which we think is the more useful version. There is no separate timed trial of Growth or Premium today.
