Gyms & Recreation

A broken treadmill is a cancelled membership.

Members don't file a ticket — they notice the out-of-order sign for the third week running and stop renewing. MachineKept keeps equipment on a service schedule and faults on a short leash.

Free for up to 25 items. No credit card.

The parts that actually hurt

Out-of-order signs are the member-facing symptom

Cable inspection on a schedule costs minutes. A snapped cable costs a machine, and potentially more than that.

Staff spot faults, managers fix them

Any staff member can raise a work order against the machine by scanning it. No hunting for a manager or a clipboard.

Identical machines, different wear

Treadmill 3 by the window gets double the hours. Per-asset schedules and per-asset history make that visible instead of assumed.

Pool plant has no margin

Chemical and filter schedules are recurring tasks with overdue alerting, and the record shows when each was actually done.

How it works

Questions

Can members report faults?
Not directly — there is no public reporting form today. Scanning the QR code opens equipment for signed-in staff. A member-facing report flow is not built.
Can I track equipment by studio or floor?
Yes, using the location field on each asset, which also filters the dashboard.
Does it work for identical machines?
Each unit is its own asset with its own serial, schedule and history, which is the point — the treadmill by the window wears faster than the one at the back.
Can it track warranty on new equipment?
Yes. Warranty expiry is a field, and equipment expiring within 60 days is surfaced in reporting so you claim before it lapses.
