The walk-in doesn't fail on a slow Tuesday.

It fails Friday night, full of product, when the service company is closed until Monday. MachineKept tracks the maintenance that would have prevented it — and tells you before it's late.

Free for up to 25 items. No credit card.

What you'd be tracking

Every one of these is an asset with its own schedule, history and QR code.

Walk-in coolers & freezers

Condenser coils, door gaskets, defrost cycles, temperature logs.

Fryers

Boil-outs, oil filtration, thermostat calibration, filter pads.

Ice machines

Water filters, descaling, condenser cleaning — the most-missed schedule in the kitchen.

Ovens & ranges

Ignition, calibration, door seals, gas connections.

Dish machines

Descale cycles, wash arms, chemical lines, rinse temperature.

Exhaust hoods

Quarterly cleaning, filters, fan belts — and the inspection record.

HVAC

Rooftop units, belts, filters, drain pans.

Prep refrigeration

Line coolers, under-counter units, gaskets.

The parts that actually hurt

Health inspection asks for the hood cleaning record

It's a receipt in a drawer, if it's anywhere. MachineKept keeps the service history on the asset, with dates, and you can export it.

The same fryer keeps going down

Three service calls in a year look like three unrelated bad nights until they're listed against one machine. Then it's a replacement decision.

Turnover takes the knowledge with it

The manager who knew the ice machine needed a filter every quarter has left. The schedule doesn't leave.

Nobody logs anything mid-service

So don't ask them to. Scan the QR on the machine, tap done, thirty seconds, one hand.

Questions

Can my cooks use this without training?
Scanning a QR code with the phone camera opens that machine's page. Logging a completed task is one tap. That is the entire workflow most of your team will ever touch.
Does it work for more than one location?
Yes. Equipment is scoped to a location, and the Growth plan covers five. Staff see the site they work at.
Can I print the QR codes myself?
Yes, on a normal printer. No special label stock, no scanner hardware, no per-tag fee.
What about health inspection records?
Every completed maintenance task is stored against the equipment with its date and who did it, and can be exported. MachineKept is not a food-safety compliance product and does not certify anything — it keeps the record.
We already have a spreadsheet. Why change?
If one person maintains it and everyone reads it, the spreadsheet is fine. It stops working when the person is off, or when the answer is needed standing in front of the machine.

Start this afternoon.
